Theories and Principles in TEFL course that focuses on developing students’ attitudes, knowledge, and skills for the teaching of English as a foreign language. In this course, student teachers discuss and explore several current theories and principles in TEFL as well as the teaching methods and techniques within the umbrella of CLT and GBA and those recommended by Kurikulum Merdeka. With a focus on the teaching of listening and speaking (i.e., the spoken cycle of GBA) and vocabulary, the course also helps student teachers to make sense of the theories, principles, CLT, GBA, Kurikulum Merdeka, and Deep Learning for the teaching of the two skills and the language component. It equips student teachers with classroom management for effective ESL/EFL instruction.
